Act fast-recover your deleted Google Workspace account before it’s gone!

➤You Have a 20-Day Recovery Window:
Google Workspace allows you to recover a deleted user account within 20 days of deletion. After that, recovery is no longer possible.
➤Log In to the Google Admin Console:
Go to admin.google.com and sign in using your administrator credentials to begin the recovery process.
➤Navigate to the ‘Users’ Section:
In the Admin console, click on “Users” to view your organization’s current user list and access deleted users.
➤Click ‘Add a Filter’ and Select ‘Recently Deleted’:
Use the filter option to display users deleted within the last 20 days, which are eligible for restoration.
➤Select the User to Recover:
Choose the deleted user from the list. You’ll see an option to restore the account if it falls within the recovery period.
➤Click ‘Restore User’:
Click on the “Restore” button to begin the account recovery process. This will reinstate the user with their previous settings and data.
➤Reassign Licenses if Needed:
If the account was restored without a license, you may need to reassign the appropriate Google Workspace license to reactivate access.
➤Data Restoration Includes Gmail and Drive:
When you restore a user, most data including Gmail messages, Google Drive files, and Calendar events are typically preserved.
➤Update Password and Notify the User:
Set a new temporary password and inform the user to log in and update their credentials securely.
➤Prevent Future Accidental Deletions:
Consider using organizational units and admin roles carefully to avoid accidental deletions, and educate team members about account management best practices.
